Education I have been teaching special education at the middle school level for over twenty years. I earned my bachelor's degree from California State University, Northridge. While working on my bachelors degree I became interested in language acquisition and learning difficulties. I went on to earn my master's degree in learning handicapped as well as my multiple subject and teaching specialist credentials from CSUN. Interesting Fact I was living in Northridge when the 1994 earthquake struck on January 17th. It had a magnitude 6.7 and is still considered the largest earthquake to strike North America. I will never forget waking up thinking, "IT'S the BIG ONE!"
Personal Stuff I am married to a very smart math teacher and we have two awesome children. My daughter is twelve and my son is nine years old. Our family hobbies include collecting rocks, panning for gold, playing music, swimming, and dancing to Just Dance.
We have two dogs, two tortoises, two betta fish, and a partridge in a pear tree!
